Desert Shield & Desert Storm Memorial — Dedication Ceremony, October 24, 2026

For those of you who served during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, a long-overdue honor is finally here. The National Desert Storm Memorial Association has announced the official Dedication Ceremony for the Desert Shield and Desert Storm Memorial in Washington, D.C.

This is open to the public — no registration or invitation required. If you served, if you have family who served, or if you simply want to pay your respects, you are welcome.

Heads up: Parking near the ceremony site will be very limited. Plan to walk, or use Uber/Lyft/taxi. No food or drink on site, but restrooms will be available.

ADA-accessible seating is available — reservations open August 15, 2026. The ceremony will also be live-streamed for those who can’t make it in person.

For full details — hotel booking, ADA reservations, FAQs, and newsletter sign-up — visit ndswm.org.

Planning to attend? Drop a note in the comments — would be great to know who from the Gates crew will be there.
